Downtown Visitor Trends – August 2025

Out-of-market visitation to Downtown Asheville increased to 580,900 in August, up from 550,700 in July. Year-over-year, visits also rose by 0.8%, signaling a positive shift after earlier declines in year over year visits.

Visitor traffic peaked on August 23 and August 30—both Saturdays—highlighting the continued strength of weekend tourism. Afternoon visitation held steady between 1 PM and 4 PM, with a second peak around 7 PM.
