Our Team
Board of Directors
The Asheville Downtown Improvement District (ADID) Board of Directors was created through a public application and outreach process designed to reflect the diversity of people, places, and industries that shape Downtown. Following guidelines established by Asheville City Council in Resolution 24-119, the board includes commercial property owners, business renters, residential owners and renters, as well as representatives from The Block and the Continuum of Care.
Members were selected to represent all four geographic quadrants of the district and a range of industries including hospitality, food and beverage, entertainment, retail, and office. Outreach efforts included direct mail to all Downtown addresses, press coverage, in-person presentations, and distribution through community and business organizations.
This board serves as the official steering committee for the Downtown Improvement District, helping to guide its launch and ensure its services — including clean, green, and ambassador programs — reflect the needs and priorities of the entire community.
