Volunteer for Downtown Clean Up Day on July 1

Cleanliness has become a bigger and bigger issue in Downtown Asheville. We hear it from tourists, residents and business owners alike, but there’s no sustainable solution in place. So, we’re taking to the streets on Monday, July 1 with our brooms, dustpans, lots of trash bags and even a few power washers to show what Downtown Asheville can be.

Shifts: 8-11am, 11am-2pm, 2-5pm

Homegrown in Pritchard Starts June 6

98.1 the RIVER and the Asheville Downtown Association are proud to announce that Homegrown in Pritchard returns to Pritchard Park on Thursdays June 6 through August 29. Homegrown in Pritchard is a free summer concert series featuring local singer-songwriters performing from 6-8pm. Artists performing in the concert series will also be featured on the Homegrown radio program Sunday nights on 98.1 the RIVER.

Free Trolley Service Offered from Downtown to RiverMusic Series

Free trolley service through Gray Line Trolley (the red trolley) will be available from downtown Asheville to the RiverMusic series in the River Arts District this summer.

“RiverMusic is going to be the best ever this year. We have always said that the river and downtown are wonderful partners, and provide so many exciting options for our citizens and visitors. Yes, Asheville has something for everyone, and the pie just keeps getting bigger,” noted Karen Cragnolin, executive director of RiverLink.
