DEADLINE EXTENDED TO NOV. 8! Asheville Grown Accepting Offers for 2014 Go Local Card

Logo

Asheville Grown is starting the process of getting locally owned, independent businesses to sign on to the 2014 Go Local Card.  If you have a business and wish to participate, you must fill out THIS FORM by Friday, November 8, 2013 in order to be included in the 2014 print directory published by the Mountain Xpress.

The 2013 card had over 400 businesses participating.   We sold approximately 2,000 cards and distributed 40,000 directories and raised over $20,000 for our public schools.

In addition, many folks discovered locally owned, independent businesses they did not know existed.  Connections were made among businesses within our community and sourcing was taken to the next level.  A few entrepreneurs were brave enough to launch their own businesses or start the process of exploring their ideas.  Self Help Credit Union launched their Go Local Certificate of Deposit dedicated to loans for small local businesses and over $1 million was loaned out to innovators and visionaries in our community.  And enough money was raised (with the help of this card) to create a beautiful mural designed by local artists and students on the exterior walls of Hall Fletcher Elementary.  Together we are growing stronger & more resilient.  Together we can strengthen our economy, our schools & our community.
