Clean-Up Downtown Day - June 23

The Asheville Downtown Association gathered members and other volunteers in Pritchard Park at 9:00 AM to clean up downtown on Friday, June 23, 2006. It was a beautiful day - a little overcast and not too hot - a perfect day for everyone to get out and show how much they love downtown.

The Downtown Association provided maps of downtown streets, brooms, dustpans, buckets and drinking water. With gloves, neon vests and trash bags provided by Quality Forward, volunteers dispersed to help clean downtown of litter, cigarette butts, weeds and other unsightly items.

We’re proud of our beautiful downtown and like to see it looking its best!
